The group is working towards a shared goal of $10 million in excess coverage for lead follow-up forms.
Aventum Group’s international (re)insurance managing general agency Rokstone has forged a strategic cooperation with Builders’ specialist programme branch, known as Rokstone Construction Risk Underwriters (Rokstone CRU). The Atlanta-based insurer will provide follow-form lead excess coverage of up to $10 million for general liability on complicated construction projects thanks to the partnership.
As a managing general underwriter, Rokstone CRU focuses on providing coverage for casualty and builders’ risk. By utilising the infrastructure of Specialty Builders Insurance Company, which has a “A” (Excellent) IX rating from A.M. Best, Rokstone CRU now has access to nationwide capacity on a non-admitted basis.
Through this partnership, Rokstone CRU will be able to provide excess and surplus follow-form lead excess policies for managed insurance programmes and commercial project-specific possibilities across the United States.
Mike Simone, president of Rokstone CRU, expressed his company’s excitement about deepening its partnership with Builders. Our ability to offer our customers and broker partners the coverage continuity and financial stability they seek from an expert commercial insurance carrier has been greatly bolstered by the development of this second product, which complements our existing relationship on our wood-frame builders risk offering.
Rokstone is a multi-national managing general agency (MGA) that focuses on meeting the speciality lines insurance needs of worldwide (re)insurance brokers. It has offices in the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. As of this writing, the company has underwritten $1 billion in gross written premium across niche markets including property, power generation, marine, aviation, warranty, credit and surety treaty, agriculture, construction and engineering, and liability.
“Our speciality division focuses on building a portfolio of business complementary to Builders’ well-established expertise,” explained Antonio R. Barner, Builders’ chief operating officer. To paraphrase the programme: “It accomplishes that exact task. Through strategic alliances with industry leaders like Rokstone, we can reach more construction clients and provide insurance options to a wider range of buyers.
C. Brent Johnson, vice president of reinsurance and speciality business at Builders, said, “The opportunity to partner with Rokstone once again was exciting.” Rokstone meets the high standards we set for all of our partners thanks to their “level of diligence,” “sophistication of the underwriters,” and “meticulous approach to claims performance.”
Rokstone CRU has been offering owners’ interest insurance in the United States since last year.
